UniSoft is a software development firm, established in January 2007, a subsidiary of Advanced Computer Technologies (ACT) one of the major system integrators in Egypt. UniSoft also belongs to a strong ICT group that is UNIVEST Holding, which was established in 1993 to consolidate the efforts of some ICT companies that have been providing the Egyptian market with state-of-the-art ICT solutions in various fields since 1985.

UniSoft focuses on mobile phone applications development and implementation of security applications and protocols of small footprints on hand held devices related to strong authentication and transaction security, in addition to the necessary server side complements.

  • UniSoft Removable Storage Protector is a kernel driver utility, when active, it encrypts everything that goes to your USB flash stick. The files on the flash stick can only be decrypted on a machine that has RSP installed on with the same password. RSP applies UniSoft's concept "Security Should be Seamless".
    With the AES-256 encryption, If your flash stick is lost or stolen, it would require computer processing resources many orders of magnitude beyond current capabilities.
    Although RSP provides privacy protection, it does not prevent the deletion of files from the flash stick nor provides physical protection; in other words, someone who steals the flash drive would be able to destroy the contents of the flash stick rather than being able to read its contents.

  • UniSoft's WinDigest WinDigest tool is a public domain free tool to compute check sum values of files by using the MD5 or SHA-1 methods. This is useful in verifying and assuring the integrity of files in different scenarios, the most common scenario is when you download an application from the internet, the download site may provide you with the check sum (digest) of the file, in such case, you can verify the integrity of the downloaded file by WinDigest, a positive result means the download is complete and the file is not corrupted due to some transfer error or a virus infection.
